Do you ever feel like there is not enough time to get all of your questions answered at your doctor's appointments?
The Reno County Health Department offers support services to women throughout their pregnancy and up until the baby's first birthday. Support services include home visits from a registered nurse and licensed social worker. Women do not need to be enrolled in our prenatal program to receive a home visit either during or after pregnancy.
Prenatal visits include:
- Weight, blood pressure, listening to the baby's heart beat
- Prenatal education including breastfeeding, infant care, labor and delivery, and healthy nutrition
- Referrals to needed community resources
After Delivery:
- Infant weight checks
- Breastfeeding support
- Family planning and birth control education
