This is a reminder that the 2nd half 2025 real estate and personal property taxes are coming due May 11, 2026.  As the tax deadline falls on a Sunday this year, Kansas Statute allows you through Monday, May 11, 2026, to pay these taxes as an on-time tax payment.

Payments may be made in the following ways:

Mail: Reno County Treasurer, P. O. Box 1685, Hutchinson, KS 67504. We will honor the postmark date on mailed in tax payments.

Dropbox: If you prefer to drop off your payment, you may use either the blue drop box inside our office or the election drop box in front of the Reno County Annex, 125 W. 1st Ave., for tax payments made after hours.  Per Kansas statute, you must request a tax receipt at time of payment.  If you are needing a receipt, please put a check mark in the box "requesting a receipt" on our return envelope or include a note with your payment requesting a receipt.  Please provide a phone number in case we need to reach you with questions about the payment.

Online: On-time tax payments can be made online at www.kansas.gov/propertytax. Please have your tax statement handy as you will need your tax statement number and your Name ID/Tax ID number—typically the first four letters of your last name followed by a five-digit number.  (This is located just above your name and address on the tax statement.)

In Person: Reno County Treasurer’s Office, 125 W. 1st Avenue, Hutchinson.  Our clerks will gladly assist you.

***If your 1st half tax payment is past due or you are paying prior year taxes, please contact our office for a payoff including interest.

We will always gladly assist you with any questions that you have.  You may reach our office at 620-694-2938.
