Information, Assistance, Referral, and Advocacy

Reno County Department of Aging provides up-to-date information to consumers regarding services and programs available in the State of Kansas and specifically in Reno County.

Our dedicated and knowledgeable staff offers assistance to consumers and/or families to assess the needs of the senior consumer, offer available resource options and assist in completion of applications when needed. When appropriate, staff can process a referral to that resource option.

Staff provides information on senior services and issues through presentations to civic organizations, senior groups, and other interested parties upon invitation.

Senior Health Insurance Counseling for Kansas (SHICK) is a grant funded State program educating the public and assists consumers on topics related to Medicare and health insurance so the consumer can make informed decisions.
