What is it?

A property tax rebate program that rewards you for improving or building on property in Reno County.

Who can apply?

• Residential, commercial, and industrial property owners

• Projects started after Jan. 1, 2025

• Minimum investment: $25,000 and at least 10% increase in value

Eligible projects:

• Home remodels & additions

• New residential, commercial, or industrial buildings

• Farm residences (same as residential)

Not eligible:

• Pools, fences, landscaping, sprinkler systems

• Properties valued over $500,000 at time of application

Rebate amounts:

• Up to 100% tax rebate for 5 years (amount varies by property type and value)

How to apply:

1. Get the application from the Reno County Appraiser’s Office

2. Submit before construction starts + $100 fee

3. Complete project & file final paperwork by Jan. 31 after completion
