What is it?
A property tax rebate program that rewards you for improving or building on property in Reno County.
Who can apply?
Residential, commercial, and industrial property owners
Projects started after Jan. 1, 2025
Minimum investment: $25,000 and at least 10% increase in value
Eligible projects:
Home remodels & additions
New residential, commercial, or industrial buildings
Farm residences (same as residential)
Not eligible:
Pools, fences, landscaping, sprinkler systems
Properties valued over $500,000 at time of application
Rebate amounts:
Up to 100% tax rebate for 5 years (amount varies by property type and value)
How to apply:
Get the application from the Reno County Appraiser’s Office
Submit before construction starts + $100 fee
Complete project & file final paperwork by Jan. 31 after completion
