Reno County Area Transit is a service of the Reno County Public Transportation Department.
Please call Rcat Dispatch at 620-694-2913 if you need assistance in planning your trip.
Reminder: No boarding or deboarding of the bus will be allowed in construction zones.
Hours of Operation
M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Demand Response Service $2.00 fare per/trip (exact fare, no change made) (No Fixed Route & Paratransit Service on Saturday)
***So that our staff can attend the funeral service for an active team member/bus driver who recently and suddenly passed away, the Rcat transfer station and all transmit modes will be closed in the afternoon from 1-5 pm on Monday, March 31st.
The Department of Aging office will be closed from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on Monday, but phone calls will be answered during that time.

- Christmas Eve Day - December 24, 2025

Reno County Public Transportation Commission Board meets the 2nd Wednesday of January, April, July, and October at 4 p.m. in the Reno County Public Transportation Transfer Station located at 120 West Ave. B in Hutchinson. Public attendance is welcome.
The Reno County Department of Public Transportation is seeking candidates to serve as a member of the Reno Public Transportation Commission.
The purpose of the Commission is to advise the Reno County Department of Public Transportation Department in the review, evaluation and consideration of issues related to providing public transportation in Reno County, Kansas.
Terms are three years long. The Council meets in January, April, July, and October on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4 p.m. in the Rcat Transfer Station. For more information, please contact Kandace Bonnesen, Reno County Department of Public Transportation Director at 620-694-2911.
