Volunteers were out in select neighborhoods across Reno County today, the second of two scheduled days, collecting input from residents through a digital survey as part of the 2025 Community Health Assessment (CHA).

Every three years, our community conducts a Community Health Assessment (CHA). The data collected through this needs assessment helps shape the services offered by both nonprofit organizations and the medical community. It not only guides what services are provided but also improves how providers connect with and serve clients.

This year’s assessment used a rapid needs assessment model to collect household-level data. In total, 30 census blocks were randomly selected, with seven households targeted in each block—yielding 210 total survey responses. Volunteer teams of two visited assigned addresses to ask residents to complete a short survey and engage in a brief conversation about health in the spaces where they live, learn, work, and play.

The Reno County Community Wellness Coalition helped with the community survey.

All of the data collected will be compiled and released sometime at the end of June.
