Members of the Reno County Child Care Task Force participated in the Early Childhood Advocacy Day Wednesday in the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka.

Attending were Lacey Mills, President and CEO with United Way of Reno County, Megan Gottschalk Hammersmith, Assistant Director - Community Health Operations at Reno County Health Dept., Jessica Flax, Director of Marketing and Foundation at Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System and Heather Faulkner, Executive Director of Abundant Life Childcare and Preschool and a consultant with the Reno County Child Care Task Force. 

Participants met with Kansas lawmakers during the day to showcase early childhood program successes and help lawmakers understand the importance and impact of high-quality early learning in our local communities.
