Red Carpet for Recovery Gala Celebrates Hope, Healing, and Second Chances in Reno County
The Red Carpet for Recovery Hearts of Hope Gala was a special evening to celebrate recovery and second chances at the Burt~Rhapsody on B! Such a wonderful evening to celebrate two Reno County Drug Court Alumni - Brandi Michaels and Connor Kingsbury - and hear their inspiring stories of transformation. Judge Joseph McCarville III gave the history of the Reno County Drug Court and Reno County Drug Court Peer Mentor Derick Dougherty spoke about the people he helps. Reno County Drug Free Alliance Founding Member Kim Paulsen, who passed away last year, was honored for her years of compassion, love and never-ending belief in the people she helped through Reno County Drug Court. Her family members received a plaque of appreciation at the event. RCDFA Chair Gary Race presented Libertee Thompson with the first ever "Kim Paulsen" award for hard work and dedication to our community.
The Reno County Drug Free Alliance (RCDFA) wants to thank their sponsors and all of the people who participated in the 3rd Annual Red Carpet For Recovery Gala, the Alliance's fundraiser.
The event included dinner, a 50/50 raffle, and guest speakers who shared their inspiring stories of transformation as graduates of the Reno County Drug Court program.
RCDFA advocates for the Reno County Drug Court program by educating the community about drug use and drug crimes in Reno County and raises money to help Reno County Drug Court program partner agencies provide services.
