Notice of Public Hearing by Planning Commission
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will commence at the Reno County Public Works Facility located at 600 Scott Boulevard, S. Hutchinson, KS 67505 commencing at 4:30 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026.
At the above time and place, the Reno County Planning Commission will consider Case Number 2025-10, a request by the Reno County Planning Commission to modify or add the following text amendments related to telecommunication towers, additional dwelling units, manufactured homes, and shipping container requirements to the Reno County Zoning Regulations:
Article 1-104(73)(a), Article 1-104(189), Article 1-104(189)(a-d), Article 2-102(6), Article 2-102(9), Article 2-102(10), Article 3-102(4), Article 3-102(5), Article 3-102(5)(a-c), Article 3-102(6), Article 4-102(4), Article 4-102(5), Article 4-102(5)(a-c), Article 4-102(6), Article 5-102(2), Article 5-102(3), Article 5-102(3)(a-c), Article 5-102(4), Article 6-102(2), Article 6-102(3), Article 6-102(3)(a-c), Article 6-102(4), Article 9-102(3), Article 9-102(3)(A- G), replace with Article 9-102(3) and Article 9-102(3)(A-J), Article 9-102(5), Article 9-103(3), Article 9-103(3), Article 9-103(3)(A-F), replace with Article 9-103(3) and Article 9-103(3)(A-J), Article 9-103(5), Article 14-102(1), Article 15-Article 15-105(52), 105(52)(A-F), Article 15-109(1)(K), Article 15-109(1)(K)(1-3), Article 15-109(1)(M), Article 15-109(1)(M)(1-9), Article 15-109(2)(G), Article 15-109(2)(G)(1-6), Article 15-109(2)(I), Article 15-109(2)(I)(1-9), 15-110(3), Article 15-110(3)(A), and 15-111(5).
The above text amendments only apply to the zoned area of the County. Areas highlighted in yellow are the proposed changes/additions. Words or sentences struck through (like this) are proposed to be deleted from the regulations.
The text amendments are available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Reno County Public Works Facility located at 600 Scott Blvd., South Hutchinson, KS 67505 or can be reviewed online at www.renocountyks.gov under Recent News.
All interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing listed above. Parties with questions pertaining to the amendments, or who wish to view the case file, or who may need special assistance may contact the Reno County Public Works Department - Planning & Zoning Division at 620-694-2978. Written comments may be submitted to the address noticed above or by email to [email protected]. The public hearing, once commenced, may be continued by the Planning Commission to a later date and time if deemed necessary.
