Notice of Public Hearing by Planning Commission

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will commence at the Reno County Public Works Facility located at 600 Scott Boulevard, S. Hutchinson, KS 67505 commencing at 4:30 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

At the above time and place, the Reno County Planning Commission will consider Case Number 2026-08, a request by the Reno County Planning Commission to add or amend the following text amendments related to parking and loading space requirements to the Reno County Zoning Regulations: Article 10-102(3), Article 10-104(1, 2, 3, 4), Article 10-105(1, 2, 4), Article 11-102(1,2) and Article 11-104(1, 2, 3).

The above text amendments only apply to the zoned area of the county. Words that are highlighted in yellow and struck through are proposed deletions, (like this), whereas words that are highlighted as yellow are proposed additions to the regulations. 

The text amendments are available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Reno County Public Works Facility located at 600 Scott Blvd., South Hutchinson, KS  67505 or can be reviewed online at www.renocountyks.gov under Recent News.

All interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing listed above.  Parties with questions pertaining to the amendments, or who wish to view the case file, or who may need special assistance may contact the Reno County Public Works Department - Planning & Zoning Division at 620-694-2978.  Written comments may be submitted to the address noticed above or by email to [email protected].  The public hearing, once commenced, may be continued by the Planning Commission to a later date and time if deemed necessary.
