Community Reminder: June 2nd is Candidate Filing Deadline

The deadline to file as a candidate for upcoming city council and school board elections in Reno County is fast approaching. Interested individuals must submit their candidacy by 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025. 

These nonpartisan elections offer a vital opportunity for community members to contribute to local governance and education. Positions up for election include various seats on city councils and local school boards throughout Reno County.

Key Dates:

• Filing Deadline: Monday, June 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., at the Reno County Annex, 125 W. First Ave., Hutchinson.
• Primary Election (if necessary): Tuesday, August 5, 2025
• General Election: Tuesday, November 4, 2025
