Community Candle Lighting Ceremony – National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

Join the Reno County District Attorney’s Office, Horizons Mental Health Child Advocacy Center, and Bright House for a meaningful evening of reflection and support during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

This year’s theme, “Listen. Act. Advocate. Protect victims, serve communities,” highlights the importance of hearing survivors, taking action, and building compassionate, community-centered responses to trauma.

  • Opening remarks by Thomas Stanton, Reno County District Attorney, and Sarah McReynolds, Victim-Witness Coordinator
  • Guest Speaker: Shara Gonzales, CEO of New Beginnings, Inc.
  • Candle Lighting Ceremony
  • Closing remarks by Andrew Davidson, Deputy Reno County District Attorney

Community members are encouraged to attend and stand in support of victims and survivors.
