Abbyville Frontier Days & PRCA Rodeo: Tradition, Thrills, & Small-Town Spirit
Reno County At It's Best!
Tucked away in the heart of South Central Kansas, the Abbyville Frontier Days & PRCA Rodeo is a shining example of rural tradition, community spirit, and world-class rodeo action. The rodeo was named the 2022 PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year and in 2024, they were named the Prairie Circuit Small Rodeo of the Year. And the community comes together to feature the best homemade pie and barbeque around!
This year's 63rd Annual Abbyville Frontier Days & PRCA Rodeo featured four days of fun and family activities!
-Thursday evening was the Turn N' Burn Barrel Race with free admission and concessions available.
-Friday night was Peoples Bank & Trust Family Night, with free admission for children 12 and under. The evening began with free pony rides at 5:30 p.m., followed by Mutton Busting for children ages 3-6 at 7:00 p.m. The PRCA Rodeo kicked off at 8:00 p.m., with slack events taking place afterward. Rider and Bethany Kiesner were the Specialty Act and Funnyman 2025.
-Saturday was a full day with a parade at 10:30 a.m. and a Ranch Rodeo at 11:30 am. The evening events included free pony rides at 5:30 pm, Mutton Busting at 7 pm and the PRCA Rodeo starting at 8 pm.
-Sunday, there was a Cowboy Church Service featuring the Calvary Echoes with a Carry-In Dinner following the service.
