A Legacy of Service: Detective Sergeant Corey Graber Retires After 29 Years

The Reno County Sheriff’s Office honored Detective Sergeant Corey Graber on March 31, 2026, celebrating a distinguished law enforcement career spanning nearly three decades of service, leadership, and dedication to the community.

The ceremony began with an invocation and recognition of Graber’s family, including his wife, Amber, who was presented with a bouquet of red roses by Sheriff Darrian Campbell. The roses symbolize the vital role and often-unseen sacrifices made by law enforcement families - the long nights, the uncertainty, and the unwavering support that makes the work possible. 

Graber, surrounded by colleagues, friends, and family, reflected on both his career and the people who supported him along the way.

Speakers painted a vivid picture of Corey’s career, one that began on January 28, 1997 in the jail but quickly expanded into something much larger. Whether working as a K-9 handler, a patrol sergeant, or later leading the drug enforcement unit, Corey brought intensity, skill, and a deep sense of purpose to everything he did.
